Elder speaks at third Acworth women’s network luncheon

As the featured speaker at the third monthly meeting of the new Acworth Women’s Network, Attorney Shelley Elder focused on the critical importance of mentors. She shared her experiences with a crowd of more than 40 professional women of the Acworth area at a luncheon at the Dogwood Terrace March 16.

Ms. Elder encouraged the businesswomen to give back, to pass on what they had learned. “I owe the community a great deal and I get involved wherever I can,” she said. “You need to step up. What can you do to a help a young person in the community?”

Ms. Elder’s law firm specializes in estate planning and probate and is located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Women shared their experiences with mentors and how those moments affected their lives and careers at their tables as part of the event. The Acworth Women’s Network is part of the Acworth Business Association whose president, Danielle Hildebrand, along with local businesswoman Kelly Wilson formed the women’s group in 2016. The next luncheon will be held at Fusco’s in April on the third Thursday. You can sign up at acworthbusiness.org to attend.
